TSA is requiring certain flight
schools to notify TSA when aliens or other individuals designated
by TSA apply for flight training. TSA also is establsing standards
relating to the security threat assessments TSA will conduct to
determine whether such individual are a threat to aviation or
national security, and thus prohibited from receiving flight
training. Finally, TSA is establishing standards relating to
security awareness training for certain flight school employees, to
include keeping records of all such training.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
