Abstract: The Early Childhood Longitudinal Study, Birth Cohort (ECLS-B) is a nationally representative longitudinal study of children born in the year 2001. The preschool year followup represents the third round of data collection for members of this cohort. Children are assessed using state of the art assessment tools, parents are interviewed as well as child care providers and school personnel.
