Abstract: Orders/Agreements become effective after public hearings are held in accordance with formal rulemaking procedures specified by the Agricultural Marketing Agreement Act of 1937; can authorize the issuance of grade, size, quality, maturity, inspection requirements, pack and container requirements, pooling, and volume regulations. Some orders provide authority for research and development to be conducted, including advertising.
