The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) is being revised to add new coverage concerning trademarks and service marks. The coverage includes a new clause that requires a contractor to notify the Government of its intent to file an application to register a Government-unique make, provide the contracting officer a copy of the trademark or service mark and describe its intended use.
