Abstract: The Agency Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) in mandated to prevent or mitigate adverse human health effects and diminished quality of life resulting from the exposure to hazardous substances into the environment. To full its mission, ATSDR conducts varied public health activities with communities nationwide whose members reside or work near hazard waste sites.
