The data is used by the CIS when
conducting an on-site visit at a school that submitted a
certification application in SEVIS after the preliminary enrollment
period. The checklist is used to verify that the school is a
bonafide school and has adequate finances to support the operation.
Additionally, the checklist will assist in the verification that
the DSO meets the requirements and that the school has been and
will be in compliance with existing record keeping and reporting
requirements.
