Abstract: Much of the data that the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) handles is controlled, either because of Security Classification, or Distribution Limitations. All potential users are required to register to obtain DTIC services. The registration procedure is mandated in DOD Instruction (DODI) 3200.14, Principles and Operational Parameters of the DOD Scientific and Technical Information Program (STIP).
