ACHES is a national random digit dial
telephone survey about arthritis. The prupose of ACHES is to gather
information on symptoms, limitations, physicl functioning levels,
effects of arthritis on work, knowledge and attitudes about
arthritis, self management of arthritis, current physical activity,
anxiety, depression, and demographics from a representative sample
of persons age 45 years and older with arthritis or chronic joint
symptoms. The information will be used to better direct and target
national and state arthritis control efforts.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
