The Federal Energy Regulatory
Commission (FERC) is revising its regulations to modify the
market-based rate authority of current market-based rate sellers to
establish consistency in types of events that trigger a change in
status for market-based rate sellers and to ensure that all events
are timely reported. FERC is proposing to eliminate the option to
delay reporting changes of status until the market-base rate seller
submits their updated market power analysis which under current
regulations can be three years after the event has taken place.

market-based rate sellers
