The Channels of Trade Provision (FFDCA #408(1)(5)), essentially states that residues of a pesticide chemical that are found in food after the tolerance is revoked pursuant to the tolerance reassessment provision of the Food Quality Protection Act, will not render such food adulterated provided certain requirements are met. FDA anticipates that the party responsible for such food will be able to demonstrate compliance with the Channels of Trade Provision by providing appropriate documentation to the agency.
