The Forest Service seeks approval for
a new information collection required by 36 CFR Part 230, Subpart C
(new) from non- industrial private forest (NIPF) owners who have
benefitted from Forest Stewardship Program Assistance since 1998.
The Forest Stewardship Program (FSP), was authorized in the Food,
Agriculture, Conservation and Trade Act of 1990 (Public Law 101-
624) through an amendment to the Cooperative Forestry Assistance
Act (16 U.S.C. 2103). The FSP is implemented through State Forestry
agencies. This information collection will enable the National
Program Manager to assess program outcomes in terms of
