NOAA Fisheries is proposing management
measures to modify mandatory electronic reporting requirements so
that any dealer issued a Federal permit for Atlantic mackerel,
squid, butterfish, Atlantic sea scallop, Atlantic surf clam, ocean
quahog, Northeast multispecies, monkfish, summer flounder, scup,
black sea bass, Atlantic bluefish, spiny dogfish, Atlantic herring,
Atlantic deep-sea red crab, skate or tilefish would report
purchases or negative reports on a weekly basis. If implemented,
the new management measures would be effective May 1,
2005.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
