Terms of Clearance: This emergency ICR is approved for the select START III emergency contracts referenced in the supporting statement. Future information collections concerning EPA's contractor background checks must address the pending Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) covering implementation of Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12. When EPA submits their regular (non-emergency) ICR they should demonstrate consistency with standards and associated clause implementing HSPD 12 for EPA contractors. As such, EPA should amend any contracts approved under this emergency ICR to reflect these government-wide standards.
