Abstract: In RM05-10-000, FERC is amending its regulation under the Federal Power Act to require public utilities that own, control, or operate facilities for transmitting electric energy in interstate commerce file revised open access transmission tariffs (OATTs) concerning imbalance provisions and include a standardized schedule. FERC Order No. 888 identified 6 ancillary services that must be included in the OATT. One of those ancillary services is energy imbalance service which is provided when the transmission provider makes up for any difference that occurs over a single hour between scheduled and the actual delivery.....
