The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the sensitivity and specificity of the Metropolitan Atlanta Developmental Disabilities Surveillance Program in reporting prevalence estimates for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). A secondary objective is to validate a screener for ASD in a wider population of children with various developmental delays in order to enhance surveillance efforts. 500 families will be invited to be in the study. Results will help researchers understand the most effective methods for monitoring ASD.
