The internet SAMMEC
(Smoking-Attributable Mortality, Morbidity, and Economic Cost)
software, released in April 2002, contains two computer programs to
be used to estimate the adverse health out comes and disease impact
of smoking on adults and infants. More than 17000 people have
registered to use the software. The purpose of this survey is to
evaluate the use and effectiveness of the software and identify
ways to improve the system. Respondents will be internet SAMMEC
users and they will be recurited to participate through on-line
application after obtaining their informed consent.

the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
