centers every 3 days for one month, and for up to 4 concurrent days
in the event of an emergency. At the end of this period of
clearance HHS shall provide a report to OMB on the degree of
variation in available burn bed capacity in the surveyed
population.

The Office for Public Health emergency
Preparedness (OPHEP) will collect information on available burn
beds, medical material for care of burn patients, and staffing
levels to ensure the ability to manage a mass casualty event
involving burns. This is necessary to meet a current threat to
public safety.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
