CDC proposes to continue the currently approved data collection instrument related to the public health infrastructure and performance of state health jurisdictions. The data will be based on the framework of the ten essential services and will be used monitor progress toward accomplishment of national infrastructure objectives included in Healthy People 2010 and by health officials/policy makers for quality improvement and strategic planning.
