Abstract: This is a proposed survey of NIH grant recipients who were supported by a special funding program for research on the prevention and cure of type 1 diabetes. The survey, which will be distributed and collected electronically, will ask grantees about the impact of these grants on their research and careers. The results of this survey will be one source of input for a statutorily mandated report to the Congress on the use of the type 1 diabetes research funds.
