OMB approves the
initial wave of data collection for 2,000 respondents for the
General Information Usage Survey. IMLS will report back to OMB on
the results of the initial wave and provide an updated sampling
protocol for the remaining three surveys. After OMB and IMLS have
discussed this analysis, IMLS will submit an 83-C (change
worksheet) to conduct the remaining 4,000 surveys.

This survey compares adult users and
their uses of online information from various sources and examines
patterns of preferences for selection sources of information for
personal, family, educational, and workplace purposes.
