This collection
is approved for an additional three years with the following terms
of clearance: (1) BLS has agreed to follow the process described in
section B5 of the supporting statement when submitting individual
collections for approval; (2) BLS has agreed to continue to provide
annual summary reports of all projects conducted under this
clearance and will include the results from projects begun but not
completed in the prior year in the current year's report; and (3)
BLS has agreed not to use this clearance for large-scale field
tests for new or existing surveys.

The proposed laboratory research will
be conducted from Fiscal Year (FY) 2006 through FY 2008 to enhance
data quality in the Bureau of Labor Statistics' surveys.
Improvements will be made by examining psychological and cognitive
aspects of BLS's data collection procedures, including
questionnaire design, interviewing procedures, collection
modalities, and administrative technology.
