This collection is approved with change. Per the supporting statement instructions, the monetary cost of labor associated with hour burden must be included in response to question 12 not question 13. Question 13 covers all non-labor costs. The question 13. Question 13 covers all non-labor costs. The identified in this item must exclude the cost of hour burden identified in item 13." The monetary cost of this collection has been modified to show that the only burden on the public is labor. In all future submissions DHS/TSA will read and comply with the 83-I and supporting statement instructions.

The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 and the legislative language of this act in Title IV-Transportation Security, Section 4011-Provision for the Use of Biometric or Other Technology, directs TSA to issue guidance for use of biometric technology in airport access control systems, including a list of qualified biometric devices and vendors. In compliance TSA has developed a process that examines the fitness of the technology for application to airport access controls systems. The forms, which provide the basis for the device manufacturer's application to this process, are intended to be widely available
