The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) proposes to pilot test a stated-preference survey and pilot revealed- preference experiment to explore the impact of financial incentives on walking behavior among inactive older adults (50 years and older). The prevalence of sedentary behavior among this population is high (80%). Increases in physical activity can be a primary and secondary prevention approach to preventing or improving chronic diseases and disabilities.
