Abstract: This proposed legislation modifies the existing regulations governing the National Practitioner Data Bank at 45 CFR Part 60 and expands the type of information collected by the NPDB. This NPRM implements Section 1921 of the Social Security Act, authorizing the collection of adverse actions taken by State licensing Boards and authorities against all health care practitioners and health care entities, as well as any negative action or finding taken by a private accreditation entity.
