The information provided by this study
will allow USDA Forest Service land managers to better understand
the public's knowledge, beliefs, attitudes and preferences
regarding fire and fuels management issues in Region 3 of the USDA
Forest Service. This information will assist Forest Service land
managers in their efforts to more effectively interact with the
public concerning fuel reduction and vegetation management, as well
as managing the risks associated with wildland fire.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding
the proposed collection of information, that the certification
covers:
