Abstract: FERC issued a NOPR RM06-01-000 in response to enactment of the Energy Policy Act (EPAct 2005) (August 8, 2005). The proposed regulations are to fulfill FERC's to implement Section 313 of the EPACT 2005 which amends section 15 of the Natural Gas Act (NGA) to provide the FERC with additional authority to (1) coordinate the processing of authorizations required under federal law for proposed natural gas projects subject to NGA sections 3 and 7 and (2) maintain a complete consolidated record of decisions with respect to such federal authorizations.
