Abstract: FERC issued a NOPR RM06-1-000 in response to enactment of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct 2005) (August 8, 2005). The proposed regulations are to fulfill FERC's responsibilities to implement Section 313 of EPAct 2005 amends section 15 of the Natural Gas Act (NGA) to provide the FERC with additional authority to (1) coordinate the processing of authorizations required under federal law for proposed natural gas projects subject to NGA sections 3 and 7 and (2) maintain a complete consolidated record of decisions with respect to such federal authoirzations.
