APHIS is proposing to amend the fruits and vegetables regulations to allow the importation into the US of fresh table grapes from Namibia under certain conditions. As a condition of entry, the grapes would have to undergo cold treatment and fumigation with methyl bromide and would have to be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate from the NPPO in Namibia with an additional declaration stating that the commodity has been inspected at the port of first arrival.
