Abstract: Section 1927 of the Social Security Act requires each participating drug manufacturer to report quarterly product and pricing information to CMS. The Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) of 2005 modifies parts of Section 1927 to require that Average Manufacturer Price (AMP) be analyzed and redefined.
