In a letter dated March 6, 2006, three Members of Congress asked the EPA Acting Inspector General to investigate activities related to the Ringwood Mines/Landfill Superfund Site in New Jersey. Among other things, they asked the IG to address questions concerning community involvement and environmental justice. To address these questions, OIG staff plan to interview community members about these matters. The Congressional request is attached, as is the June 5, 2006, IG letter about the review.
