Abstract: The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is issuing a proposed All Terrain Vehicle standard under the authority of the Consumer Product Safety Act and the Federal Hazardous Substances Act that will address deaths and injuries associated with ATVs. The new standard requires manufactureres and retallers to meet certain recordkeeping requirements and certification requirements to comply with the standard.
