Section 1915.152 requires employers to
perform a hazard assessment of the workplace to determine if
personal protective equipment (PPE) is necessary. It also requires
the employer to document that their employees have been trained in
the use of PPE. Employers also must document that a hazard
assessment has been performed.
The 280 hour increase results
from: -4 hours as a result of changing the hazard assesssment
burden hour methodology to better reflect rulemaking record;
increase of 283 hours to better account for employee turnover rate
in training; and a 1 hour increase for disclosing information.
