1. As has been previously explained many times, this control number is for use only for surveys limited to customer satisfaction. This submission evaluates policy issues and uses submission-specific statistical methods, nowhere specified. Consequently, it does not fall within the purview of the control number. Accordingly, it is disapproved. 2. DOT/NHTSA may choose to resubmit as a revision to 2127-0646, and under its terms of clearance. Such a submission would require the usual information, including 30- and 60-day notices, and the usual information on such a statistical collection. If so, the submission should particularly address that collection's clearance terms 2, 3, 4, and 6 of the 6/01/2006 notice of action. (See the supplementary document added to this ICR.) 3. The existing customer-service control number may continue, but only for surveys limited to customer satisfaction of direct NHTSA services. For the present, because this generic control number was migrated into ROCIS, check with OMB before any submission to ROCIS under it. (See the other supplementary document added to this ICR.)
