Terms of Clearance: The change in cost burden has been reassigned from "agency action" to "adjustment." That is because the change was caused by an adjustment in the estimate rather than any action by the agency (in a regulatory or administrative capacity) that affects the information collection itself. In its next submission under this OMB Control Number, the agency is instructed to ensure that the estimate of burden associated with this Control Number includes only the burden imposed on non-individual taxpayers. If the agency finds that the current burden estimate includes burden imposed on individual taxpayers, it must immediately submit an adjustment request that eliminates this double-counting. In its next submission of this information collection, the agency is also instructed to provide the Subfunction under the Federal Enterprise Architecture Business Reference Module.

Abstract: The information collected ensures that remotely controlled switches are lined so as to protect the lives and maintain the safety of railroad employees who are working on track in crews or who are occupying camp cars. The information is collected to assure compliance with the Rail Safety Improvement Act of 1988.
