This collection is needed to evaluate trends in resource use. It provides timber industry representatives, researchers, natural resource analysts, and decision makers with continuing comprehensive assessments of the present and future demand for renewable wood resources, from both public and private timberlands, in order to forecast future supplies and analyze changes in demand. Respondents are primary wood-using industries.

This is a revision of a previously approved information collection package. The estimated total burden has decreased as a result of a decrease of burden in the North Central Region, Southern Region and the Pacific Northwest Region. The decrease is the result of the concentration of annual production into fewer but larger mills.
