The following requested changes are found in the attached “highlighted/track changes Part B Indicator Measurement Table:

Change One: This requested change is a result of an oversight when initially revising Information Collection 1820-0624 to correspond with the rationale for changes found in the Analysis of Comments and Changes section of the preamble of the 34 CFR Part 300 Regulations (Assistance to States for the Education of Children With Disabilities and Preschool Grants for Children With Disabilities). The discussion, related to 34 CFR §300.301(c) states that it would be inconsistent with the Act to …require that the 60-day timeframe cover both the evaluation and determination of eligibility. Section 614 (a)(1)(C)(i)(I) of the Act requires an initial evaluation to be conducted within 60 days of receiving parental consent for the evaluation or, if the State establishes a timeframe within which the evaluation must be conducted, within that timeframe. The regulations in §300.301(c) reflect this requirement. (See Page 46636 of the Federal Register / Vol. 71, No. 156 / Monday, August 14, 2006 / Rules and Regulations.) See changes made in Indicator 11 and the related “measurement” section for Indicator 11. (See Page 11 of the Part B Indicator Measurement Table).

Change Two: This requested change is a result of “Item d” being left out of an equation found in the “measurement” section for Indicator 12. See changes made in the measurement section for Indicator 12. (See Page 12 of the Part B Indicator Measurement Table.)
