Title 10 Part 430 of the Code of Federal Regulation requires manufacturers to test and maintain records concernings the energy of water consumption of covered products and prohibits the sale of any said product that does not meet requirements established by law. DOE requires manufacturers to submit a compliance statement and a certification report for each new basic model of a product.
