In order to fulfill the Federal Reserve’s obligations under Section 214(e) of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003 (FACT Act). Section 214(e) requires the Federal Reserve and five other agencies to jointly study the consumer information sharing practices by financial institutions, and other persons that are creditors or users of consumer reports, with their affiliates.
