Section 73.213 requires applicants to
submit intereference showings whenever modifying a grandfathered
short-spaced FM station that directly relate to the impact such
modification proposals have on other stations and the public. It
requires that applicants serve a copy of the application on
potentially affected parties. The showings are used by FCC staff to
determine if the public interest would be served and the existing
levels of interference will noyt be increased to other stations.
Providing copies of applications will enable affected parties to
examine the proposals and to file informal objections.
