Note on timing

IMPORTANT NOTE
Timing for Data Collection and Funding Constraints
The funding for this project expires on September 30, 2007 and will not be renewed. As a result,
the survey implementation must be begun no later than April 2007 to ensure it can be completed
and the data received from the survey contractor before the funding for this project expires. The
timeline below indicates the expected timing of key activities given this time constraint.
Expected Activities by Date under September 2007 Funding Deadline
Early to mid-March 2007 – Expected PRA clearance request approval
Mid to late March 2007 – Set up contracts with survey contractor
Early to mid-April 2007 – Survey contractor prints survey instruments, cover letters, and
envelopes, prepares for mailings and telephone interviews
Late April 2007 – Begin survey implementation mailings (advance mailing)
May to early August 2007 – Continue survey implementation (initial mailing and follow-up
mailings, telephone interviews)
Late August to early September 2007 – Survey contractor prepares and cleans data
Mid to late September 2007 – Survey contractor delivers data and related materials
