Abstract: The purpose of the program is to continue the collection and reporting of state violent death information. The proposed state-based surveillance system will collect data from violent deaths and will provide more detailed and timely information regarding violent deaths. This system will use case records held by medical examiiners, coroners, police and crime labs.
