This study will examine the
stakeholder perceptions of deer and deer management in the National
Park Service (NPS). The goal of this study is to identify criteria
for public involvement strategies for successfully engaging the
public in management planning. Collection of these data will assist
NPS managers in fulfilling recent policy directives for public
participation by indicating how to tailor participatory processes
to best meet the social reality of the management context.
