The Electrical Standard addresses
safety procedures for the design, utiliaztaion, and installation of
electrical equipment in the workplace. The purpose of this standard
and its information collection requirements is to provide
protection to employees working on or near electrical
equipment.

The Final Standard adds 9,353
burden hours to the inventory, principally because of new
labeling,signage, and marking requirements. The final Standard adds
$3,750 to the capital-cost estimate because of new lableing
requirement found in 29 CFR 1910.304(b)(1).
