Abstract: The survey secures data on financial and operating characteristics of a sample of U.S. companies that are foreign owned and that are above a size-exemption level. Universe estimates are developed from the reported sample data in nonbenchmark years. The data are needed to measure, monitor changes in, assess the impact of, and make informed policy decisions on, foreign direct investments in the United States.
