NTIA is proposing to implement a
program to provide $40 coupons to consumers for use towards the
purchase of digital-to-analog converter boxes. The converter boxes
are necessary for consumers who wish to receive broadcast
programming over-the-air using analog-only televisions after the
date that full-power stations are required to cease analog
broadcasting. This information collection requires manufacturers to
certify that their converter boxes meet the standards specified in
the regulations.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
