DTIC’s Products and Services

• Research and Engineering (R&E) Portal is available to Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Government employees/contractors. The R&E Portal will be the focal point for obtaining information on research and engineering activities within DoD. It brings together, with a single sign-on, the strategic planning documents, financial databases, congressional information and more. The URL to access the R&E portal is: https://rdte.osd.mil. Note: Use the same user id and password that you use to access Private STINET. For more information about the R&E Portal, contact [email protected].

• Private Scientific and Technical Information Network (STINET) is an online service that provides convenient accessibility to DTIC's databases, including full-text documents available right from your desktop. Private STINET will be available to you within one business day following approval of your registration. The URL to access Private STINET is: https://dtic-stinet.dtic.mil.

When prompted, enter your User ID _______ and the password you created during your online registration. Note: If you do not remember or know your password, click the cancel button in the Private STINET login dialog box. At the next screen click on the “reset password” link.

• Information Analysis Centers (IACs) are research organizations chartered by DoD and sponsored by DTIC. They improve productivity in the defense research, development, and acquisition communities. IACs are staffed by experienced technical area scientists, engineers, and information specialists who help users locate and analyze scientific and technical information in specific subject areas.
