RITA's Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) is tasked with providing data, statistics, and analysis to transportation decision makers. BTS must ensure that the statistics support transportation decision making by the Federal Government, State and local governments, metropolitan planning organizations, transportation-related associations, the private sector (including the freight community), and the public. BTS believes this information collection will support transportation decision makers in their effort to understand the types of funds that are spent on public transportation.
