The Mentor-Protege Program is designed
to improve the performance of USAID contractors and subcontractors
by providing developmental assistance to protege entities, foster
the establishment of long-term business relationships between small
businesses and prime contractors and between institutions of higher
education with Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), and increase
the overall number of small businesses and MSIs that receive USAID
contract and subcontract awards. A signed mentor-protege
application for each mentor-protege relationship should be
submitted to the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU) for approval.
