The National Survey of Family Growth
(NSFG) will be conducted by personal interview among a sample of
approximately 4,000 men and women annually. Data will be collected
on pregnancy, contraception, parenting, and related attitudes. The
information is used by NCHS, the NICHD, the Office of Population
Affairs, OASPE, the Children's Bureau, the CDC HIV Prevention
Program, and the CDC Division of Reproductive Health.
Eleven (11) small revisions to
the questionnaire are being made. These new questions fill gaps in
the previous questionnaire. The changes constitute less than one
percent of the data file and do not increase the previously
approved interview length, or burden.
