Approximately one month ago we sent you a questionnaire asking for your opinions regarding wildfire issues for your homeowner’s association. To the best of our knowledge, we have not received a response from you. The comments of those that we have received have included some very interesting opinions regarding wildfire risk and management. It is important that we have information from as many members of your homeowner association as possible. We believe that a complete set of responses will provide important insight for decision makers on the ground.
We have enclosed another questionnaire with a self-addressed, stamped return envelop in case the previous one was misplaced. We are very interested in your opinions on this very important topic and we look forward to including your responses in the final analysis.
Also, we would like to provide a brief comment on our survey procedures. A questionnaire identification number is printed on the back cover of the questionnaire so that we can check your name off of the mailing list when it is returned. Once the data collection effort is concluded, the list of names is destroyed so that individual names can never be connected to the results in any way. Protecting the confidentiality of people’s answers is very important to us.
